Enjoy a Full Breakfast in Our Oceanview Room!

A full delicious meal is served each morning in our spectacular oceanview Buckingham Dining Room. Sit, relax and enjoy the view of the Olympic Mountains across Juan de Fuca Strait as well as all the activity on and alongside the ocean.

How’s the food? What kind of breakfast do the guests enjoy? Fresh, local ingredients with the best quality always in mind. The inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee using the finest French Roast beans from our Cook Street Village's Serious Coffee, the enticing scent of Silk Road fresh teas, the lingering scent of freshly baked muffins, pumpkin bread or other delicacies, the delicious tang of pure juices and varying daily selection of the freshest fruit, the appealing entrance of well-presented hot entrees. The food is a special treat!

With over 15 years of serving breakfast daily to their guests, Sharon and Dave Layzell have honed their culinery skills to a fine art. Special dietary requirements can usually be met as long as sufficient advance notice is given - typically at the time of making a reservation. We can often substitute ingredients to make our recipes work. We do not have dedicated kitchen staff, so we are not able to prepare individual meals on order. When substitutions are not possible, we can offer yogurt, toast or something similar to augment our fruit and daily baking.   

Breakfast menus at Dashwood Manor Bed & Breakfast change daily, often alternating between savory and sweet entrees. Dutch Toasties are a favourite, created with a freshly baked croissant base covered with ham, pineapple, asparagus and a deep layer of Swiss Emmenthal cheese. An exciting blend of flavours! Hazelnut apple soufflé is a delicious, sweet entrée, well loved by guests. Smiles all around as this delicacy arrives at the table!

Mushroom and fresh garden chive Quiche; Baked French Toast Stuffed with berries and cream cheese. These tantalizing entrees (and more) make Dashwood breakfasts a wonderful start to a day.

A new feature at Dashwood Manor is the choice of special, hand blended teas from the famous, local, tea merchant Silk Road Teas. We are very proud to offer this as a special treat and a highlight to guests' relaxing, memorable breakfast experiences. Love what you taste and want more? Dashwood Manor is now an authorized merchant for Silk Road Teas so guests can purchase tins of their favourite blend to take home for their own enjoyment or for a souvenir gift for a special friend.
